Planning Board · Meeting of February 26, 2026

NJ MONTVILLE — Montville Planning Board unanimously adopts affordable housing plan to protect against future lawsuits. The Board voted 7-0 to adopt the 2026 Housing Element and Fair Share Plan covering 2025-2035, Board Planner Joe Burgis said. The plan includes Diversified 55-plus on Main Road near Route 287 with 53 affordable units among 266 age-restricted units, and the JMC property at 205-207 Changebridge Road with 16 affordable units and a payment-in-lieu for two additional units.

Upon Township Committee approval March 10, the plan goes to the Affordable Housing judge, granting the township protection against affordable housing lawsuits for 10 years pending a midpoint review.
