Montville adopts $3M capital improvements bond ordinance

NJ MONTVILLE — Montville adopts $3M capital bond ordinance; introduces $5.6M in utility spending. Mayor Frank W. Cooney's Township Committee unanimously adopted a $3.022 million capital improvements ordinance, financed partly by $2.312 million in new bonds.
The committee introduced three additional bond ordinances totaling $5.625 million for water and sewer improvements and open space, drawing public comment concerns about environmental impacts of synthetic turf fields. Infrastructure contracts for storm sewer and road work were awarded totaling $829,391.
